Jennie: Spent most of yesterday afternoon typing the film schedule for our site - Glory Be - how I hate spread sheets. Although they are a great aid for slimming as in all the stress of loosing stuff and finding it in the various columns, must speed up the metabolism and I suspect that there is at least 2 lbs of fat now adhered to the ceiling of my workroom. Justhands-on.tv has just gone live. It is the realisation of Valeries dream. The final coming together of months of hard work The last few hours have been a nightmare of tweaking and twitching but at long last the site is just about ready - so here it is - warts and all. And what a great site it is - as a member you can see about 70 minutes of film but as a subscriber - you have 4 hours and more to view. Sewing has never been such fun and it is all Justhands-on!

Met web guy and start loading data. It is getting really exciting. We are learning so much -now into brain overload and can feel need to lie down in a darkened room. No time to sew nor even time to stand and stare just time to type - t'is action stations.

Stitchfest

Jennie: Took film crew to Stitchfest at Ardingly (video coming in Sept) - filmed lots of embroidery and chat with Helen Deighan, Kim Thittichai and others. Also did two small demo's with Helen that will be in the Subscribers section in the near future. Fabulous exhibitions by the individual branches of the Embroiderers Guild in the Southeast sadly we didn't have the time to film them all but a comprehensive selection will be on the Sept video. Minerva Arts Centre

Jennie: Film crew went to Minerva Arts Centre in Llandidloes, Powys – fantastic collection of ancient and modern quilts. Just you wait until you see the quilt with 12,000 3/4 inch hexagons made by a 9 year old boy!!! Also the complete contrast with four very contemporary Welsh quilters. Then off to see very special charity quilt made by 49 ladies in Crickhowell.
