Val: Well what a weekend we had; hubby and I were at the show at Sandown Racecourse, Esher in Surrey with our Justhands-on.tv hats on and it was such a pleasure to meet so many of you. Val: Hampshire library service have organised a programme of Artists in the Library for mixed media girls; the City & Guilds part IV will be having their exhibition July2-4; more details should be available from www.hants.gov.uk/library - check out the listing for your local library there if you are from Hants. some great stuff.

Val: Get a friend to sign up and get some free fabric; your friend must be a subscribed member for at least one month and you will then receive a FREE 1/4m of fabric. There is no limit to the number of friends you can have who sign up!

Val: Tumbling blocks are a traditional favourite and often done over papers; it is based on the light/medium/dark theme to give dimension. In this short video our Jennie shows you how to make this pattern without papers and shows you the technique for insetting the seam, which works for both machine and handwork. One of the quilts on display at the current V&A Exhibition shows a scrap version of this - so now you can make your own!

Val: Well what a GREAT day we all had yesterday at this exhibition and I'm rushing to share it with you just in case you can fit in a visit - it ends tomorrow Sat 5th June at 7pm. The Mall galleries are just by Admiralty Arch in central london; the content of the show is breathtaking and very varied. If you can't get there, don't despair as you will be able to see much of it with us and it will be showing in August; so whether you get there or view it with us you are in for a treat; ...

Jennie: Have sat sitted at this somewhat warm cmputer all morning and loaded Roman Candle - last pattern in the Kaleidoscope BOM series - finishing off and completing will be posted next month and then ..... come August - just you wait .... Valerie has a great design for you to make. Val: Don't often go up to the smoke, but we, Justhands-on.tv and the boys from Bizview.tv, have been invited to film the textile exhibition that has been put on this week by Prism Textile group; the show is called Evolve Evoke Expand and is on at the Pall Mall Galleries all this week (until 5th June) - more details on the events page. They are a group of 150 strong so we are really looking forward to seeing some of their work on display.
