Frequently Asked Questions:

What do I get when I register:
The FREE registration allows you to become a basic member which in turn allows you to access the videos on the site which are free-to-view. You will also be able to view the taster films that are behind the membership subscription wall.

Registration also means that you will also receive our newsletter and updates which you can cancel by following the unsubscribe button at the bottom of each newsletter/update. 

How do I  join?
Basic Membership is FREE;  all you need to do is register and this will allow you to wander round the site; enjoy the shopping and some of the videos and tasters of those that are behind the subscribed membership wall.   

How do I become a fully subscribed member?
Go to the Membership page and all the info is there to pay monthly in Sterling (just £6) or US Dollars(just 10); if you want to pay by cheque in the UK the rates are there too and you can contact us for the mailing address.

How long do I have to join for?
Subscription is on a monthly basis when you pay through Paypal; you can cancel at any time. If you pay by cheque you have the option to pay for 3months, 6 months or 1 year and the postal address is on the Membership page.

How do I change my password?
Go the membership page and find the button at the top rh corner.
 

I've forgotten my password what can I do?

When you try to log in there is an option box that you can click. This will generate a computer password which is full of random letters and numbers; OR you hit the Contact Us button at the top or bottom of each page and ask us – we will give you something easy to type.

Why don’t my videos run smoothly?
We promise we didn’t record them like this! If the film is jerky it is because the airwaves (as it were) are really busy and the computer needs time to load all the information; once you have clicked on the play button, you will also see the pause button – it looks like   II   so press this and go and get a cup of tea (or something) to allow the film to continue to load; you will see a different colour bar appearing below the screen; once it is fully loaded you will be able to sit back and view with no interruptions.

Why Don’t my videos run?

You will need flash player to run the videos and if your computer doesn’t have this you can download it here:

Do I have to use Paypal ?

No you don’t – you can pay by cheque:   for your shopping all you need to do is work out what you want and the postage and send us a cheque with those details and we will do the rest. The Membership subscription can also be paid by cheque and the rates/options are at the bottom of the Membership page.

When shopping do I have to order each item separately?
At the moment we’re sorry but you do. The shopping cart system will be added soon.  The postage will remain the same as it is calculated per item. In the meantime we thank you for your patience

How long are the videos on the site?
The workshops will be on the site for at least 3 months; other items may be on there for longer – such as the tips and techniques sections.
 

Can I view the films on full screen?
Yes you can, for most of the films (some of the early ones don’t have that option); look for the little box and arrow below your screen – click to enlarge and click again to esc.

Are there workshop notes?
Sometimes and if there are you will see the message below the video screen ‘To learn more click here’; otherwise there will be related products for you to purchase or patterns to download.
 

How do I know which are the most recent videos?
The Home Page displays all the videos that have been uploaded over the previous 4 weeks; after that they just move to the various sections under Videos. At the moment they aren’t dated.

How do I know what’s on/coming this month?
Well there is text on the News page that lists the plans for the month ahead and also on the Home Page just below the Welcome Video - where is says ‘To learn more click here’.
 

How do I cancel my Membership Subscription?
Go to the Membership page and  the button is at the top rh corner of the page as well as at the bottom. You can do this at any time and the system knows the period you have paid for so will allow you to continue to view for the balance of that time.
