Learn goldwork from Hand & Lock and make shoes like this.

Hand & Lock launch their festival of embroidery in July and they’ve got a fantastic offer for Mastered students. You can get any of their courses for a special concessionary price and if you leave a comment on this blog post you’ll be in with the chance of winning the course of your choice.

They’re covering everything from experimental embroidery to tambour beading to silk shading. They’re also hosting evening talks with Diana Springall, Jamie Chalmers and textile journalist Philippa Watkins.

To enter the competition, leave a comment on this blog post telling us which embroidery skill you’re most excited to master and we’ll pick a winner at random on 1st July. You’ll have to make your own way to London, but once here you’ll you enjoy expert Hand & Lock teaching in person.

In the meantime, browse the courses and evening talks and remember to take advantage of the special concessionary price.

If you can’t get to London to take part in the embroidery festival in person, take a look at Hand and Lock’s online goldwork and tambour beading courses in the school of surface embellishment
