Ruth Singer - Textile Traces - Cwmbran, Wales

This will take place in the Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre, St David's Road
Cwmbran, Torfaen  NP44 1PD

Open Mon-Fri 9.30am-5pm and Sat 9.30am-4pm

This exhibition brings together Ruth Singer's work exploring human experience expressed through throughtful and emotionally-engaged textile making.  Her subtle and delicate work references loss, memory, fragility and damage in both the cloth itself and in our personal lives.

Ruth's background as a textile historian and museum curator is woven through her work;  she creates pieces with a sense of history and a look of antiques but with a powerful contemporary story.
