Doors open 9.30. Conference starts at 10.45 – 3.30pm

Price; £2.00, children free (Groups welcome, please advise in advance).

They're also raffling a charity quilt during the exhibition (see left), all proceeds going towards raising funds for a hydrotherapy pool at the Merlin Multiple Sclerosis Centre.

Buttercross Quilters Exhibition, Witney

June 22nd, 2018 to June 23rd, 2018

This will take place on 22 and 23 June 2018 from 10 am to 5.00 pm at Methodist Church, High Street, Witney

The exhibition will display a large number of quilts all made by members. There will be a pop up shop by CUPCAKE COTTONS and sales tables from Buttercross Quilters with items made by members. There will also be a table selling a range of produce made by members,etc.

The Oxfordshire Co-ordinator for Project Linus UK will have a demonstration table for those wanting to know more about this worthwhile cause.

There will be a raffle to win a beautiful quilt that has been completed by one of our members. This quilt started it’s life as a group of blocks generously donated by the family of one our original members who has sadly passed away. Second prize is a quilt kit kindly donated by Cupcake Cottons and the third prize is a cushion made up from another of the donated blocks.


Buttercross Quilters will make a donation to our chosen charities which will be for Young Dementia and Medical Detection Dogs.

Swansea Festival of Stitch 2018

August 10th, 2018 to August 24th, 2018

This takes place from 1-24 August 2018.

5_swansea-f-of-stitch In the second celebration of 'Stitch' in Swansea and hosted by the city of Swansea, the Festival will be an extravaganza. There are 15 days of Masterclasses, 11 exhibitions, free Skills Taster Sessions, Makers and Traders Market, and Masterclasses from renowned artists. There are also free drop-in workshops and a ' Quilt Expo' at Swansea's LC2 featuring quilts by groups and individuals from South Wales.

An open Quilt Show held in the beautiful RHS associate Gardens. Enter your quilt then come and see it hung in these beautiful hillside gardens.  There is the usual open competition plus an addition section to coinside with the Welsh Tourist Board theme “Year of the Sea”.


Alternatively just come and enjoy the beautiful quilts and gardens or partake in one of the classes being held this year. There are tearooms in the garden, which serve excellent cakes, and there will be a trader’s marquee for all your quilting needs as well as quilts and crafts for sale. As the gardens are set on a hillside there is limited disabled access


Opening Times 10.00 a.m. till 5.00 p.m. daily. Admission £6.00
