What do I get when I register?
The FREE registration allows you to become a basic member which in turn allows you to access the videos on the site which are free-to-view. You will also be able to view the taster films that are behind the membership subscription wall.
Registration also means that you will receive our newsletter and updates which you can cancel by following the unsubscribe button at the bottom of each newsletter/update.
How do I join?
Basic Membership is FREE; all you need to do is register and this will allow you to wander round the site; enjoy the shopping and some of the videos and tasters of those that are behind the subscribed membership wall.
How do I become a fully subscribed member?
Click on any of the SUBSCRIBE NOW buttons on the site or go to the Membership page and all the info is there; you can also purchase a membership for a fixed period through the shopping pages; if you want to pay by cheque in the UK the rates are there too and together with our mailing address.
I live outside of the UK, how can I work out what the cost is?
If you live outside of the UK, Paypal manages our payments and converts the cost when you go through to purchase on the Paypal website. They will show you the converted cost in your own currency before you press the Pay Now button. Or you can contact us and we will give you an approximate idea of the cost
How long do I have to join for?
A recurring subscription is taken on a monthly basis when you pay through Paypal. You can cancel at any time. You may also join for a fixed term of 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year through the shopping pages. If you pay by UK Sterling cheque you have the option to pay for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year and the postal address is on the Membership page.
How do I change my password?
Go the Manage My Account page and enter your new password (twice) and click the Save button.
How do I change my Email address?
Again go to the Manage My Account page and change the details and save.
I've forgotten my password what can I do?
If you click here, it will take you to a password reminder screen. Or, when you try to log in there will be an error message appear in red writing directing you what to do next. We will then send you an email with your login details. (Please also keep an eye on your Spam / Junk folders in case the email disappears into them!)
OR you click on Contact Us at the top or bottom of each page and ask us – we can send your details to you.
Why don’t my videos run smoothly?
We promise we didn’t record them like this! If the film is jerky it is because the airwaves (as it were) are really busy and the computer needs time to load all the information; once you have clicked on the play button, you will also see the pause button – it looks like II so press this and go and get a cup of tea (or something) to allow the film to continue to load; you will see a different colour bar appearing below the screen; once it is fully loaded you will be able to sit back and view with no interruptions.
Do I have to use Paypal ?
No you don’t – you can pay by UK Sterling cheque: for your shopping all you need to do is work out what you want and the postage and send us a cheque with those details and we will do the rest.
How long are the videos on the site?
The workshops will be on the site for at least 3 months; other items may be on there for longer – such as the tips and techniques sections.
Can I view the films on full screen?
Yes you can, for most of the films (some of the early ones don’t have that option); look for the little box and arrow below your screen – click to enlarge and click again to esc.
Are there workshop notes?
Sometimes and if there are you will see the message below the video screen ‘To learn more click here’ or 'click here for Workshop Notes' but these will only be available to fully subscribed members; otherwise there will be related products for you to purchase or patterns to download.
How do I know which are the most recent videos?
The Home Page displays all the videos that have been uploaded over the previous 4 weeks; after that they just move to the various sections under Videos. At the moment they aren’t dated and if you can't see a video that you have previously watched and you are a fully subscribed member, you need to contact us to request items from the archive.
How do I cancel my Membership Subscription?
Go to the Manage My Account page and click on Cancel My Subscription to the right of your address information. You can do this at any time and the system knows the period you have paid for, so will allow you to continue to view for the balance of that time.
